Before entering law school, Meehan distinguished herself in the medical field. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and then proceeded to the Medical University of South Carolina where she received a B.S. in Nursing. She worked at MUSC as a pediatric nurse for three years before law school.

As a member of the Board of Directors, Meehan will serve a three-year term, contribute financially to the school and advise the school on strategies to increase community engagement. Meehan’s background in nursing helps her understand the medical issues that arise in personal injury lawsuits and workers’ compensation claims and makes her a valuable member of the Steinberg Law Firm’s team.

She is a member of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, Junior League, and the South Carolina Bar Association. She and her husband live in Charleston and have two daughters
