Bernard A. Krooks Recognized as Retiring Board Member at The Arc of Westchester

Krooks, Esq., was recognized as a retiring board member at the 69th Annual Membership Meeting of The Arc of Westchester. Arc is the largest agency in Westchester County serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Mr. Krooks served on the Board of Directors from 2006-2018 and was the President of the Board from 2014-2016. He received the Advocate of the Year Award from Arc of Westchester’s Children’s School of Early Development in 2016.

Krooks is a founding partner of the law firm Littman Krooks LLP and Chair of its Elder Law and Special Needs Department. He is a nationally-recognized expert in all aspects of elder law and special needs planning.

Mr. Krooks is a member of the Estate Planning Hall of Fame of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. He is the immediate past Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is also immediate past Chair of the Elder Law and Special Needs Planning Group of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association. He has also served as a board member of the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association as well as the Board of Directors of the Caregiver Insights Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to assisting individuals and their families with end-of-life issues.
