Natural Gas Rig Explosion Kills Five

Jul 18, 2018

Southfield, MI (Law Firm Newswire) July 18, 2018 – A natural gas rig explosion killed five men. Autopsies indicated they died of smoke inhalation and burns.

The deadly blast occurred near Quinton, about 100 miles southeast of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The state medical examiner determined that the deaths were an accident. According to an incident report the explosion happened when an uncontrolled release of gas caught fire. An onsite worker unsuccessfully attempted to shut the well down.

Wrongful death lawsuits were filed by the estates of each of the deceased men. Negligence in the workplace may be an issue in the lawsuits.

Plaintiffs may be worried about how they are going to find the money to make ends meet during a pending claim. A lawsuit cash advance may be a good solution for those facing financial difficulties. “They would likely need a source of funding to help them through the long wait until a settlement is achieved, or their lawsuit is resolved in court,” said Litigation Funding Corporation representative, Daren Monroe.

Litigation funding, commonly referred to as a “lawsuit loan” is an advance of funds, or pre-settlement funding, to a qualified plaintiff without the need for a credit check, employment verification or monthly payments. “Applying for pre-settlement funding is very easy; the only requirements to qualify is attorney representation and a strong case with merit,” added Monroe. The plaintiff may receive approved funding within 24 to 48 hours.

Pre-settlement funding can be arranged from anywhere in the United States by calling Litigation Funding Corporation’s toll-free number 1.866.LIT.FUND (548-3863). “We are happy to provide a free, no-obligation consultation,” said Monroe.
