Lima, Esq., an attorney at Barnett, Lerner, Karsen & Frankel, P.A., has recently joined the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA), an international organization involved in the maritime transportation business and related trades worldwide. Her involvement in the organization’s Florida chapter began in September, 2015.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to become a member within the ranks of such a notable group of women. I look forward to the prospect to further the objectives of the organization by working on initiatives that empower women in the maritime industry,” said Lima.

The primary goals outlined by WISTA include offering networking and educational events for its members. Consequently, each chapter conducts recurrent meetings, conferences, and social assemblies during the course of the year, intermittently in association with sizable marine industry events.

Liza E. She serves on the newly developed Young Lawyers Committee of the Administrative Law Section of the Florida Bar and is also a member of the Broward County Bar Association.
