Armando Edmiston Becomes Certified in Forensic Chromatography Earning Title Forensic Lawyer-Scientist

Tampa, FL (Law Firm Newswire) February 19, 2016 – J. Armando Edmiston, founder of Ask2Amigo Law Firm has become certified in forensic chromatography, forensic drug analysis and DUI with drugs. This new certification allows Mr. Edmiston to better defend those who have been accused of drug offenses and DUI involving alcohol or drugs. Additionally, all the training helps Armando Edmiston represent those injured by drunk drivers to achieve higher verdicts in a personal injury action against the insurance companies.

Mr. Edmiston, a native of the Tampa-bay area, has devoted his professional life to assisting citizens who have been charged with DUI offenses in the Tampa-bay area and representing victims in car accidents, slip and falls and nursing home abuse. This new certification in forensic chromatography, forensic drug analysis and DUI with drugs allows him to more vigorously defend his clients in court with a greater ability to question the processes the prosecution uses against defendants. This includes those who have been charged with impaired driving or driving under the influence.

Additionally, Edmiston will be able to help victims injured by drunk drivers maximize their recovery in jury trials by understanding the science behind blood testing and/or drug testing to show how impaired a driver was at the time of a car accident to help the jury award more money to the victims. Mr. Edmiston is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Mr. Edmiston is a native of this area, born in Guadalajara Mexico, but spent his entire childhood in Plant City Florida. He was an honors graduate of Plant City High School and graduated in the top 5% of his class. After high school, Mr. Edmiston joined the Marine Corps where he was proud to serve the United States of America. He finished his service honorably, then enrolled and graduated from the University of South Florida where he earned a degree in biology. While a student at the University of South Florida, Mr. Edmiston was on the Honors List, and was a member of the Gold Key for maintaining a Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher during his studies.

Mr. Edmiston earned his Juris Doctorate or J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale where he graduated Cum Laude in the top 15 percent of his class. Since his graduation, Mr. Edmiston has also served on many groups to protect the rights of all citizens, and to promote members of his community, including the Association of Hispanic Students, the American Bar Association, and as a volunteer for Reading for Life. Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Edmiston served as a public defender for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County wherein he represented adults and juveniles charged with both felonies, misdemeanors and traffic infractions.

Knowledge gained from forensic chromatography certification allows Mr. Edmiston to better ensure that his clients’ rights were not infringed upon by the procedures the police used in a DUI cases or other cases involving alcohol or drug charges. The more knowledge Mr. Edmiston has, the more vigorous his defense can be for his clients.
