Man Shoots Wife of 45-Years as She Lies in Hospital Intensive Care Unit

Oct 13, 2012

Southfield, MI (Law Firm Newswire) October 12, 2012 – Mercy killing or not, the man in this case was charged with aggravated murder.

“In this case of aggravated murder, a man shot his wife in the head while she lay in intensive care at the hospital,” said Darren Monroe of Litigation Funding Corporation, Michigan.

The woman had been in the critical care unit on oxygen for several days, when her husband shot her in the head. The nursing staff thought the loud popping sound was an oxygen tank exploding. Entering the room, they discovered the man sitting beside her bed with a gun in his hand. The woman passed away the next morning. The man’s lawyer indicated he was a kind and caring man, and his actions were out of love; he wanted to stop his wife from suffering. “Her family may not view the situation in the same light, and choose to file a wrongful death lawsuit,” Monroe added.

If the woman’s family files a wrongful death lawsuit, they may need assistance with paying medical bills, funeral and burial expenses while waiting out the litigation process. They may be hard pressed to make ends meet without the help from a legal finance company. Applying for a “lawsuit loan” is an easy process, and it only takes minutes to provide the details of the case, the name of the attorney hired to handle it, and what they are facing in terms of expenses.

“Once the litigation funding company assesses the case, it does not take long for them to send funds to the plaintiff, the quickest way possible. The plaintiff is treated with great courtesy, as the legal funding company realizes they have already been through enough before filling out an application,” Monroe explained.

It only takes 24-48 hours for the “lawsuit loan” to be wired in the plaintiff’s bank account. From there, they have the ability to wait for justice, and not settle up fast and short with an insurance company wanting to save money.
