Teen Loses Control of Vehicle Injuring Seven in Head-On Wreck Reports New Hampshire Injury Lawyer

Jan 25, 2012

Nashua, NH (Law Firm Newswire) January 24, 2012 – Speed was most likely the cause of this wreck. Police will be probing deeper into why the teen lost control of his vehicle.

“This is one of those accidents that you hope to never be involved in and never hope to see,” said Charlie Donahue, a Nashua injury lawyer with offices in Keene, New Hampshire. “Seven were injured in this wreck caused by an 18-year-old, after he lost control of his car on a curve, and rammed head-on into a Toyota Camry.”

The collision left horrid injuries in its wake. The Camry was carrying four passengers, all seniors, who suffered very serious injuries. The other car, a Lumina, had three onboard. Two passengers in the Camry were not belted in, but the others involved in this collision were wearing seat belts. All seven were taken to the nearest medical facility for emergency care. The occupants in the Camry managed to get out of the wreck with minor to moderate injuries.

“It’s a good bet, based on the facts of this case, that the teen was speeding or showing off by driving recklessly, and that is why he lost control of his car. In either event, he acted negligently. Whether or not he will be charged criminally, would remain to be seen, based on the findings of a police investigation. Nonetheless, criminal charges or a conviction aside, the victims in this case would have a good reason to contact a personal injury lawyer and file lawsuits for compensation for their injuries,” Donahue remarked.

Typically, when there is an accident of any kind, it usually involves someone’s negligence, and often, it may also involve the negligence of two people, equally or unequally at fault. What matters the most is that the element of negligence is present, and because of that negligence, someone was seriously or catastrophically harmed or killed.

“Cases like this take a fairly long time to make their way to court or through settlement,” said Donahue. “And for this reason you need experienced legal counsel to stand up for your rights. Insurance companies won’t. They’re too busy trying to get you to settle fast and for a low amount.”

For those who have been in an accident like this reported case, or in another type of accident, do not hesitate to make contact with a skilled Nashua personal injury lawyer. Justice will not be denied when an injured plaintiff has an experienced Nashua personal injury lawyer.
