Arkansas Injury Lawyer Says Scene of Two Dangerous Accidents Needs To Be Investigated

Jul 29, 2011

Little Rock, AR (Law Firm Newswire) July 28, 2011 – If a certain location has a reputation for deadly crashes, it would make sense to investigate the scene for problems.

Arkansas Personal Injury Lawyer - Michael Smith“It’s not a good sign, to say the least, when twice in one month, car drivers have lost control of their vehicles, slid wildly out of control and slammed into the same two trees in the same location on the same highway. Bad luck? Bad design? Bad drivers? Bad roads? Who’s to really say for sure, but it would make sense if the site were investigated to find out what is going on,” said Michael G. Smith, an Arkansas injury lawyer and Arkansas accident lawyer practicing personal injury law in Arkansas.

The oddest thing about the two reported accidents was that they were virtually identical. Both vehicles roared up an embankment, spun in circles, hit trees with the tail end of the car and landed back up on the highway facing east in the westbound lane. If that is not odd enough to raise eyebrows, the rest of the statistics on these accidents definitely are.

“Both of the drivers were from the same town, both were born in 1992 and both landed in the same hospital, with the same prognosis; guarded condition. How often to things like that happen? Well, according to the police, it’s downright eerie. But the astonishing thing about the first accident was that the man was ejected from his spinning car, thrown a good 130 feet across four lanes of traffic and made it out alive,” Smith said.

Did either of these accidents, or both of them, happen because of defective vehicles, poorly maintained roads, driving too fast for road conditions and speeding, distracted driving or a result of being forced off the road? These are all things that the police will need to investigate to determine how the accidents happened.

Should it become evident that something was wrong with the cars; the two victims may wish to a file personal injury lawsuit. If the problem turns out to be improperly maintained roads or some other road related cause, the victims may want to talk to a lawyer about filing a lawsuit, as well.

“Often, crashes are not always what they look like, and this is why the police have to take the scene apart and analyze it for clues as to what happened. If you have been in a similar situation, and are not sure if you have a case, pick up the phone and call my office. I’d be happy to talk to you about your situation. Never assume it is something that it may not be until you have the chance to check your legal options,” Smith said.
