Speed On The Highway Is Deadly in New Hampshire

Feb 22, 2011

Keene, NH (Law Firm Newswire) February 22, 2011 – Too many Americans these days think speed is the way to get to where they are going. Unfortunately, speed either maims or kills.

“While I didn’t handle this particular case, I heard about it and sadly, have seen accidents just like this,” said Charlie Donahue, a New Hampshire personal injury lawyer located in Keene. Donahue handles injury cases in New Hampshire and across the United States. “If you want fair and ethical legal representation in your case as a result of a car wreck caused by someone else, call me. I only work for you, no one else, and I don’t get paid until you win.”

This ghastly accident crucially injured three, all because one driver was speeding and lost control of their car going into a curve. It appears the lone driver of a Honda Civic was ripping along in the northbound lane of the road when he lost it, violently swerving and slamming into the rear of a Saturn Outlook SUV. “The force of the impact was so horrifically catastrophic that the rear end of the Civic came detached from the rest of the car and flew off into a nearby driveway,” Donahue said.

When EMC crews arrived onsite, they had to use the Jaws of Life to get both drivers out of their vehicles. It was not a pretty sight. The survivors were rushed to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. “The people in the SUV were both elderly and the extent of their injuries was not known, but suffice it to say, that any injuries sustained when you are older take longer to heal and may have other, more serious ramifications,” Donahue said.

The driver of the Civic, in critical condition, was airlifted to another hospital for medical attention. Police remained on the scene, attempting to sort out just what had happened and get eyewitness reports. Initial investigations indicated the Civic driver had been seen speeding earlier, but police were not clear on whether he was also handling a cell phone at the same time or was driving under the influence. At the time of the accident, no citations were issued, but it is expected there will be one or more handed out later.

“If you have been in a similar situation and hurt because someone else was driving like an idiot, give me a call. We can talk about your case, how the accident happened, your injuries and what your options are for getting fair and reasonable compensation for your medical bills, pain and suffering, permanent injuries, loss of consortium, work disability, etc. In other words, we will cover the whole spectrum of possibilities for damages,” Donahue said.
