Houston Bar Association to Honor Ajamie LLP Attorneys Courtney Scobie, Ryan van Steenis

Houston, TX (Law Firm Newswire) May 11, 2017 – Ajamie LLP is pleased to announce that the Houston Bar Association (HBA) will recognize two of the firm’s attorneys at the HBA’s Annual Dinner meeting on May 18 at the River Oaks Country Club in Houston.

Bar Association President Neil Kelly will recognize Courtney Scobie with the President’s Award for her participation in HBA’s AIDS Outreach Program. Ms. Scobie chairs the Outreach Committee, which is responsible for providing holiday gifts for families affected by HIV or AIDS and for hosting the Spring Luncheon for residents of Bering Omega House. In her capacity as Senior Counsel at Ajamie LLP, Courtney’ s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts and federal government investigations.

Her efforts with the Bar Association’s AIDS Outreach Program are part of the firm’s longstanding commitment to combating the AIDS crisis. Ajamie LLP is also an active supporter of the American Foundation for Aids Research (amfAR). Founded in 1985, amfAR is dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research.

Ryan van Steenis will receive the President’s Award for participating on the CLE Committee as an Online Subcommittee Co-Chair. The Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education program offers an array of legal education courses to new and seasoned attorneys in the greater Houston Area.
