Palm Beach County, FL (Law Firm Newswire) May 2, 2016 – Six people were killed in a car crash on the night of Saturday, April 30th. Among those who perished in the crash were four children. According to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky, the tragic accident occurred as a result of separation of a minivan’s tire tread. The van whirled towards an SUV that was operated by Sharwen Pierre Louis. A report from the Florida Highway Patrol revealed that the front of the SUV struck the right side of the minivan.

The vehicles were headed south on I-95 in Jupiter, Palm Beach County. Three people died at the scene of the accident, and three others succumbed to their injuries at local hospitals. While two victims were seriously injured, one person was treated and released. Many are describing the crash as the most horrific motor vehicle accident they have witnessed in many years in the area.

Sgt. Wysocky said that the six people who died and the two persons who were seriously injured were passengers in the minivan. The Florida Highway Patrol is attempting to discover whether any of the eight passengers in the minivan were wearing seat belts.

The victims who lost their lives in the crash were four children, as well as Andres Perez,18, and Reynaldo Diaz, 31. Those who suffered severe injuries were the operator of the minivan, Heidi Solis-Perez, who is 33 years old, and another passenger who is 11 years old. Mr. Louis, who is 21 years old, sustained minor injuries.

At approximately 9:35 p.m., paramedics hurried to the scene and attempted to save the victims who were lying in the road. The devastation caused traffic to cease moving in the midst of flying helicopters and ambulances. While Macareo, Marillany and Andres Perez died at the scene, Alexander, Sandy and Mr. Diaz died after being transported to hospitals. Those who survived the accident were transported to Delray Medical Center, St. Mary’s Medical Center and Martin South hospitals.
