Aug 19, 2015

Houston, TX (Law Firm Newswire) August 19, 2015 – The 2015 Top Lawyers list, published by H Texas Magazine, recognizes top lawyers in their fields as nominated and voted for by their peers.

“It is indeed an honor to be recognized by my immigration colleagues for the second year in a row,” said principal attorney, Annie Banerjee, at the Law Office of Annie Bannerjee, Houston, Texas.

In 1996, Annie Banerjee graduated from the South Texas College of Law, ranking the third highest in her class and on a full academic scholarship. She made the Dean’s List and worked as Assistant Editor of the South Texas Law Review.

Banerjee has a Master’s Degree in English from Queen’s University of Ontario, Canada, and a Bachelor’s degree in English (with Honors) from the well-known and respected Presidency College in India. She lectures on immigration law in the United Sates and India, and has more than 16 years of experience dealing with the highly labyrinthine U.S. immigration system.

“As an immigrant myself, I totally empathize with my clients and take the matter of immigration seriously. Each client has his or her own story and an ultimate dream to live in the United States. To realize that dream, we represent clients throughout the United States,” Banerjee said. Her determination and dedication has brought her recognition as a top immigration lawyer.

Banerjee is a member of the State Bar of Texas, College of the State Bar of Texas, American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Bar Association and Indian Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston. She is a co-founder of the Indian American Lawyers of Houston.

H Texas Magazine annually mails nominee ballots to local lawyers, extending an invitation for them to name and vote on their peers. Once nominations are received and verified by editorial staff, pertinent background information is double-checked and H Texas Magazine recognizes distinguished, high-achieving lawyers.
