He is a past president of the Special Needs Alliance, a past president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and a past president of the New York Chapter of NAELA. He has served as Chair of the Elder Law and Special Needs Section of the New York State Bar Association. He has also been recognized as a “New York Super Lawyer” since 2006.
